Welcome

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the Web. I hope you’ll be blessed by the blog posts, poems, and other random things on this blog.

The name of this blog “Ode To Joy” was chosen for various reasons, not the least of which is for Beethoven’s beloved composition. (It also happens to be a nickname a friend of mine gave me a while back–a play of words on the first half of my first name.)

But there is a deeper meaning. The world we live in these days could be depressing, heartbreaking, and seemingly hopeless at times. As Christians, we struggle to shine in a world that is ruled–only temporarily, thank God–by the Prince of Darkness. We are challenged on every side.

But there is hope–there is peace–there is joy–in Christ.

My prayer is that you could be encouraged and equipped to fight the good fight of faith.

If God is for us, who can be against us? If we have Christ, what more do we need?

Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (
Psalm 16:11, KJV)

 Enjoy.
