“Obstacles” Shortlisted!

A few months ago I wrote a book titled “OBSTACLES: One God. One Team. One Vision.”

I got the idea for the novel a week after my knee injury–while I was still nursing a headache and unable to walk. I guess the situation I found myself in was what it took for me to finish a full-length novel in less than three weeks, both edited and formatted.

The book, in a nutshell: A group of young Christian traceurs strives to lead teens to Christ through Parkour.  But when opposition, obstacles, and doubts arise, will they crumble, or will they conquer?

After finishing the novel, I submitted it to the “Word Alive Press Free Publishing Contest” for Christian writers of both fiction and non-fiction novels across Canada.

And my little baby–a fictional account of my life’s vision come to life–was shortlisted.

Here’s the link to the page. 😛 http://wordalivepress.ca/contest_winner

God is merciful. Without my knee injury, I would never have encountered the vision God has given me, and which now I still hold on to. Without the vision, the story, the book, would never have existed.

And now…this.

I’m not even sure if the book deserves an Honorable Mention. 😛

Every cloud does have a silver lining.

All in all, this goes to show how great a God we serve. 🙂

  1. That is awesome, my friend! God works in mysterious ways. I knew you were up to something and I’m glad your vision has come to life. I can’t wait to read it!
